It was also recorded that 43.8% of the population, compared to 22.3% in the state of Florida had received a Bachelors degree or higher. Although Palm Beach Gardens has grown and prospered over the years and appears to be a great place to live, it is not without its problems as well. Like most modern communities around this country it is faced with some challenges. One problem that has recently been discussed is that of dealing with traffic flow and backups. There has been work done on I95 in order to help the traffic flow in and out of Palm Beach Gardens. There was also an expansion of PGA Boulevard in order to help traffic flow. Most of the time getting from one place to another is very easy. But for those times, during rush hour that the city did see traffic backups these construction measures have been undertaken to help alleviate the problem.
The city does not have a big pollution problem due to the fact that they are very proactive about preventing it. The Pollution Prevention or (P2) Coalition of Palm Beach County is an organization which has been established to fight pollution. The P2 Coalition works hard to provide practical information and ideas with the goal of preventing pollution. The P2 Coalition is a voluntary group that consists of local industry,
academia, and government representatives. They all have a common interest in preventing pollution and preserving the
environment (Pollution Prevention Coalition of Palm Beach County, n.d.).
Palm Beach Gardens has indeed lived up to the vision that John MacArthur had when he first dreamt of creating it. It is a very safe, nice place in which to live and raise a
family. It has good schools which promote learning and
success. It has a very low poverty and crime rates compared to other places in the state. When looking at the growth rate that the city has had in the last nine years, one can definitely tell that it is a great place to live. With all of its positive attributes it can certainly be referred to as a true slice of Americana.
