The aforementioned argument appears quite well reasoned. From the beginning until the end, it seems to be complete, authentic, well researched and rational. The theme of the argument addressing a debatable issue related to the corporate world is also well established. It reveals one out of many alarming aspects of organizations, organizational culture, the attitude of the employees, the changing rules and regulations, the remedial measures adopted by some companies and the resulting changes in the attitudes of the employees.

Furthermore, it also shows the significance of the amendments that need to be made to make the organizational culture both ethical and effective. Thus showing employee theft as one of the potential reasons regarding the issue that has paved way for rigid organizational code of ethics and grabs the attention of the reader by revealing that several companies have been affected by the unethical practices of the employees. Hence, with the pressing problem at hand, various companies have formulated strategies and curative steps. Hence the use of evidence is logical in the argument however it needs to be more lucid.
The second element making the argument effective is the line of reasoning that helps the writer extract the most favorable response from the reader. On the same account, the above argument provides reasoning that becomes obvious to the reader only if the content is read between the lines. The argument establishes a connection between the ID badges worn by the employees in ten companies and the resulting reduction in the employee theft. However, the reader has to assume the link between the two variables used in the argument rather than obviously see them. This is because there is a vague line of reasoning throughout the argument making it less persuasive and giving rise to various questions like how it can be determined that wearing photo ID badge has been an effective strategy in all the ten companies?
