Both include ample detail for everything from fraud to crimes against animals. A few of the most surprising details include abortion, abandoned refrigeration equipment, and lasers. These are among the most important crimes listed in the criminal code. Cybercrimes are also included, enhancing the breadth and comprehensiveness of the Washington State criminal code. Types of violent crime are also covered extensively although with not too much detail with the…

Blackstone with Washington Criminal Code The American legal system derives almost entirely from the British common law system. That is why, in America, if there is no precedent for a particular set of facts at trial, the court will look to common law from centuries before America even existed as a nation. The similarities are even more noticeable in criminal law than they are in civil law. The homicide passages in

Prison Inmates Should Be Paroled Early to Help Control the State's Budget Problems This paper argues that inmates at State prisons should be having premature releases from prisons so that the States can manage their budget problems. As the paper illustrates, despite criticisms on parole that it introduces unreformed culprits back in the society and that the program is unorganized, parole is a major contributor in reducing prison populations, which

However, as criminals become more aware of undercover tactics, the covert officer is required to provide more and more proof that he is indeed a criminal- which leads to the officer committing acts that compromise his or her integrity for the sake of maintaining cover. By understanding the often conflicting nature of these goals, deception and integrity, we can see how an undercover officer can become confused, lost, and
