Just like the lions and the bees, human are social beings and live in communities sometimes small or large. Daily, we relate one way or another with each other either at home or at our places of work. Irrespective of the form of communication employed, either in person or via phones or emails, our communication and method of relating with other people has an impression on them either positively or otherwise. To this effect, there are certain skills that everyone should become proficient at so as to sustain healthy relationships and perform tasks more quickly; these skills are referred to as the Interaction Essentials. They are very helpful in the pursuit of personal goals (to be acknowledged and valued) and career goals as well (by helping us communicate better) (Development Dimensions International, 2012-2015, p. 1)

People who uphold and develop their own self-esteem as well as that of others are always judged as valuable people; they enjoy a better relationship with their team members and experience less workplace stress.
• Learn to have a compassionate mind -- A valuable skill to possess is the ability to feel compassion and sympathize with people. These kinds of people do not mind spending their time and resources to assist others to sustain their level of self-esteem, preventing them from developing habits that would be detrimental to their lives.

• Learn to ask for help and seek others' opinions - People love when they feel important and are made to believe their thoughts and views about a situation are relevant. This trend of seeking and providing help at the workplace started in the 1970s but is now a crucial part of several successful companies.

• Share your opinions on issues -- Sharing thoughts or views and basis of choices at the workplace helps develop an environment of trust. Over the last decade, over 100,000 publications have been written on the importance of developing workplace trust.

• Help others without reassigning tasks -- The interdependence in the workplace of today makes it quite impossible to do a task without seeking help. Despite this, it is crucial that the help is given without reassigning or reducing the initial task. This will make the other worker develop and grow in knowledge of doing the given jobs. Providing help without reassigning or reducing tasks is a major method for encouraging others (Development Dimensions International, 2012-2015, pp. 1-4).
