First, the learning environment is not conducive for Jennifer because of the gender stereotypes. Moreover, Jennifer has once been the victim of sexual harassment making her to be uncomfortable among male counterpart in the classroom. Essentially, gender stereotype plays a critical role in the classroom environment where male students dominate the classroom.

In a classroom where male students outnumber female students, male students will be portrayed as brave, inventive, and active, while female students will be portrayed as being dependent. Within Jennifer's classroom environment, male students' activities will capture more of the teachers' attention than female counterpart will. Thus, the male students will receive more praise, more behavioral reprimands and more academic help than female students. (NCWGE, 2002). Sexual harassment is another factor affecting Jennifer, and sexual harassment has a negative effect on education lives and student emotions.

For example, nearly half of the students who experience sexual harassment are likely talk less in school, be uncomfortable in the presence of male counterpart and hard to pay attention in the classroom. (NCWGE, 2002).The evidence shows that Jennifer is likely to be a victim of sexual harassment. "What should the teacher do?" The teacher should focus equal attention on male and female students in the classroom.

Moreover, the teacher should deliver equal praise for male and female counterpart and should not focus more attention on male students than female students. Doing so will make female students feeling that they are less important in class. Thus, the teacher should deliver equal attention, praise and criticism to male and female learners. To address the problem of sexual harassment, the teacher should use part of his or her time to teach student about the negative effect sexual harassment in the classroom environment.

The teacher should make the students to understand that sexual harassment is not tolerated within a classroom environment. "What could the teacher have done to create a fair-equitable and safe environment for all the learners?" Within the learning environment that Jennifer belongs, it is critical for the teacher to create a fair and equitable learning environment to ensure that the learning is conducive for all students. Typically, the teacher should build a self-esteem learning environment for all students by showing that harassing behavior among students is not tolerated.

Moreover, the teacher should develop a learning environment to build a self-esteem and respect for both sexes in the classroom. (NCWGE, 2002).The teacher should encourage male students to develop self-respect for female students. The case study reveals that Jennifer and some students remain silent during the class hours and unable to participate in the classroom discussion. To build lively classroom environment, the teacher should support assertiveness of female students.

The teacher should also encourage female students in the classroom to use the work areas and learning tools that male learners favor to eliminate stereotype within the classroom environment. Moreover, the teacher should respond to the issues of.
