Public Communications and Public Relations: Why my experiences, interests, studies, and academic background translates into a perfect translation for the needs of the Westminster University program The art and craft of translation is my passion, and how the multitudes of the languages I speak and seek to perfect can be merged into the communications field shall become the passion of my future. I have longed love the translation process involved in translating one foreign language into another. My native language is Italian, but I am also well versed in English and Spanish. My degree thesis was entitled "The Casebook of Forensic Detection," under the supervision of Professor Adriana Bisirri. It was a work of scientific translation, but I tried to make it one of literary merit as well as clinical accuracy, under the watchful eye of Professor Bisirri.

The title and subject of my thesis highlights my second passion -- the translation of technical languages into the language and understanding of the layperson. The language of the biological and forensic sciences and the language of circuits and wires in the form of computers is my second area of fluency. Microsoft Applications: World, Excel, Access, Explorer, FrontPage, PowerPoint, Publisher, Photoshop, and a good knowledge of HTML programming language.

Such computer literacy has facilitated my communication ability, for it has improved my ability to communicate internationally, through the use of the Internet....

But as a result of the quality inherent in my work, eventually, my responsibilities grew to include communicating with representatives from foreign companies and arranging meetings. Interacting with the clients as well as dealing with the printed page was not simply fulfilling -- when my responsibilities were expanded, I was finally given my final, great task, the cumulating act of my internship experience. I was given the honor and the challenge of creating the company website. In doing so for this truly magnificent company, I was able to deploy my interactive skills and my linguistic knowledge to their fullest extent.

Translation is a communicative, personal, psychological, and technical skill when deployed by someone with a fine ear for languages, for human personalities, for cultural differences, and who also possesses a certain individual personal finesse. I have tried to perfect the art and craft of my translation skills at every opportunity my life has offered. I intend to continue my studies in languages even after the completion of my degree, for honing one's linguistic skills as…
