This interaction with M.J. was insightful and heartwarming. I felt a deep connection with her as she shared her experiences. My communication skills were tested, especially when trying to delve deeper into her memories without making her uncomfortable. I believe I managed to maintain a balance between being professional and empathetic. One area I could improve on is perhaps allowing more silence for the interviewee to gather their thoughts. Overall, this experience has taught me the importance of...…and thanked M.J. for her time. I asked her how she felt about our discussion, to which she responded positively. I ensured that our conversation ended on a positive note, focusing on her achievements and happy memories.
